For app marketers
For app marketers: one link per channel, installs counted by the stores
Last updated
You run the channels: social, creators, email, print and sometimes ads. Jumper.to gives each of them its own short link and QR code that open the right store on every phone, inside Instagram and TikTok too. The App Store and Google Play count installs for each link, Jumper shows the taps the same day, and nobody has to touch the app.
From plan to numbers
- Add the app. Paste its App Store or Google Play link at app.jumper.to/new. Name, icon and both stores fill in.
- Make one link per channel. Bio, stories, each creator, each newsletter, each poster. “Add the social set” makes the big four at once.
- Name them the same way every time. Channel, medium and campaign, short and in lower case, so the store reports stay readable.
- Read the numbers every week. Taps and reached stores in Jumper; downloads per campaign in App Store Connect; Android installs in your analytics.
A link plan for one launch
Every link opens the same app. Each one tells the stores where the visitor came from. A typical plan, with the guide for each channel:
One link per channel
Pick the guide for each channel you use.
| Channel | Where the link goes | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| Bio, story stickers, DMs | Bio against stories, inside Instagram’s browser too | |
| TikTok | The bio’s Website field | What “link in bio” brings, and how many taps reached the store |
| YouTube | Descriptions, pinned comments, a QR code on screen | Installs per video |
| Creators | Each creator’s bio or description | Which creator brings installs, not only views |
| Newsletter, welcome emails, signature | Which email brings installs | |
| Print and events | A QR code per poster, flyer or stand | Which placement people scan |
Each link costs one credit a year; taps are unlimited.
A naming scheme everyone can follow
Each link carries a channel (the platform), a medium (like bio, story or newsletter), a campaign and, if you want, a content name. Apple receives the channel and the campaign joined by a hyphen and keeps the first 30 characters, so put what you need to see in App Store Connect, like the creator or the video, in a short campaign name. Google Play receives all four as campaign tags.
The names live in your Jumper account, not in the address. On free credits each address is a short random code, so nobody can guess another link or change the campaign by editing it. With a paid credit you can choose a readable address for spoken mentions, like oxi.cc/urappyt.
Where the clicks get lost
Instagram, TikTok and Facebook open links in their own browsers, and on iPhone those often cannot open the App Store. That loss rarely shows up in an ad dashboard. A Jumper link gets people out: where the app allows it, it tries the App Store once by itself, and its button tries one way out at a time, switching when a tap does not work.
Each link’s stats show how phone taps ended: straight to the store, after Jumper’s page, copied the link, or gave up. You see which channels lose people on the way to the store, and how many Jumper won back.
Print without risk
A QR code on a poster that holds a store address breaks when the listing changes. A Jumper QR code holds the link, so you can change where it points after printing. Give each placement its own link, like oxi.cc/urappposter for a poster, and you see how many people scanned each one, by country and phone.
Numbers in your own reports
Your weekly report can pull the numbers by itself. Create a read-only key in your settings, and a spreadsheet or reporting tool fetches taps and daily unique visitors per app, link, channel or campaign. Put them next to the downloads from App Store Connect and the installs from Google Play, and the report shows what each channel brought.
Privacy in one sentence
A tap is counted without cookies and without storing IP addresses, and nothing runs inside the app. When legal asks what the link does with visitors’ data, the page below has the details in plain words.
What Jumper.to does not do
It does not open your app when it is already installed (that needs Universal Links and App Links on your own domain), it has no deferred deep links, and it does not follow people inside your app. It is a link and its numbers, not an attribution platform.
Make your channel links
Paste your App Store or Google Play link. 3 free credits: each link or page uses one. Nothing to install in your app.

Questions
Does it replace an attribution platform?
No. It answers “which channel brought installs” with the stores’ own numbers. It does not match installs to ad clicks across apps, report to ad networks or follow people inside the app. For organic channels, creators, email and print, that is often all you need.
Can I use the links in paid ads?
Where the ad platform accepts a website address, yes. App install ads usually have their own setup with the store listing or an attribution partner, and some platforms do not allow short links; check their rules first.
Can several people on the team use one account?
Not yet. An account belongs to one email address and there are no team seats. Teams use a shared address for now.
Do I need to add anything to our app?
No. Jumper.to works on the link only. Nothing ships inside the app, and there is no new release to make. The App Store and Google Play count installs for each link by themselves.
What does it cost?
3 free credits: each link or page uses one. Free credits renew every year. After that: $2 a credit a year, 10 credits for $10, 100 credits for $20. Taps are unlimited and there are no ads.
Will the link open my app if it is already installed?
No. A Jumper link always goes to the store, which shows an “Open” button when the app is installed. Opening a screen in your app needs Universal Links and App Links on your own domain.
