For Unity

One store link for your Unity game

Last updated

Your Unity game ships to iPhone and Android. Give it one link that opens the right store on each: a Jumper.to link. Use it with Application.OpenURL for “Get the full game” and cross-promotion buttons, print its QR code on your booth banner, and make one link per placement to see which one brings players.

Set it up

  1. Paste your store link. At app.jumper.to/new, paste the App Store or Google Play link of your game.
  2. Add links per placement. End screen, menu, trailer, event: one install link each.
  3. Call Application.OpenURL. With the link for that placement. Same code on both platforms.
  4. Print the QR code. SVG for banners and flyers; it keeps working when the store link changes.

Open the store from C#

Application.OpenURL hands the link to the phone, which opens the store app. With a Jumper link you need no #if UNITY_IOS block and no two store ids: one constant for both platforms, and you can change the destination later without a new build.

using UnityEngine;

public class StoreLinks : MonoBehaviour
{
    // Your Jumper link: the App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android, your site elsewhere.
    // One link for every platform, so the same build can share it.
    const string AppLink = "https://oxi.cc/urapp";

    // Hook this to a "Get the full game" or "Share" button.
    public void OpenStore()
    {
        Application.OpenURL(AppLink);
    }
}

Cross-promotion and placements

Studios with several games link them to each other: a banner in the menu, a card on the game-over screen. Give each placement its own install link, with the channel “cross-promo” and the campaign named after the placement. Apple receives that as ct, Google Play as utm values, and you see in App Store Connect and in your analytics which placement brings players. Jumper shows the taps per link the same day.

Reading the referrer in a Unity game

Firebase Analytics for Unity reads the Google Play utm values on its own. Without Firebase, the referrer comes from Google’s Install Referrer library, which a Unity project uses through an Android plugin (a small Kotlin class like the one in our Android docs, called from C# with AndroidJavaObject). It is optional: the stores count installs per campaign either way. Apple gives games no referrer; read iPhone campaigns in App Store Connect.

Events, trailers and press kits

Put the QR code on your booth banner, the end card of your trailer and your press kit. Phone visitors get their store; a journalist on a laptop gets your website or a landing page with the icon, store buttons and a QR code. If the game moves to a new listing, the printed code follows.

Privacy policy, terms and support pages

Both stores ask for a privacy policy link before they accept your app, and Apple also asks for a support link. With Jumper.to you write or paste each page as plain text (or upload a .md file) and get an address like oxi.cc/<your link>/privacy-policy. Pages are text only: headings, lists, tables and links, no images or scripts. Each page uses one credit, like a link. Both stores ask for a privacy policy, also for games without accounts.

What Jumper.to does not do

It does not open your app when it is already installed (that needs Universal Links and App Links on your own domain), it has no deferred deep links, and it does not follow people inside your app. It is a link and its numbers, not an attribution platform.

Questions

How do I open the store from Unity?

Application.OpenURL with your Jumper link. The phone opens it and the store app takes over, on iOS and Android, from the same build.

Do I need to add an SDK to my Unity app?

No. Jumper.to works on the link only. Nothing ships inside your app, and there is no new release to make. Reading the Google Play referrer is optional and uses Google’s own library.

Can I see which placement brings installs?

Yes. Give each placement its own install link: the end screen, the main menu, a trailer, a poster at an event. App Store Connect and Google Play count installs for each.

Does it work for a game on itch.io or Steam too?

A computer visitor goes to the website you set, which can be your itch.io or Steam page. The link’s main job is the phone stores.

What does it cost?

3 free credits: each link or page uses one. Free credits renew every year. After that: $2 a credit a year, 10 credits for $10, 100 credits for $20. Taps are unlimited and there are no ads.
