For iOS and Swift
App Store links and campaigns for your iOS app
Last updated
A Jumper.to link sends iPhones and iPads to your app in the App Store, with Apple’s campaign tokens, ct and pt, so App Store Connect counts downloads per campaign. It works inside Instagram and TikTok, where plain App Store links often fail, and anyone on Android or a computer gets your website or a page for your app. In Swift it is one URL.
Set it up
- Paste your App Store link. At app.jumper.to/new. Jumper fills in the name and icon, and the Mac listing if Apple sells one for both.
- Add your provider token once. Copy pt from a campaign link in App Store Connect into your Jumper settings.
- Make install links per channel. Each one sends its own ct to Apple.
- Read results in App Store Connect. Analytics, then Campaigns: downloads and proceeds per campaign token.
Share the link from Swift
Your “Share the app” button should work for the friend who has an Android phone. With a Jumper link it does: the same URL opens the App Store on iPhone and Google Play (or your website) on Android. One constant, no store id in your code.
import SwiftUI
/// Your Jumper link: the App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android, your site elsewhere.
let appLink = URL(string: "https://oxi.cc/urapp")!
struct ShareAppView: View {
var body: some View {
// One link that works for friends on iPhone and Android.
ShareLink(item: appLink, message: Text("Get the app")) {
Label("Share the app", systemImage: "square.and.arrow.up")
}
}
}
// UIKit: UIApplication.shared.open(appLink)
ct and pt, as App Store Connect expects them
Apple counts downloads per campaign when the App Store link carries two tokens. ct is the campaign token: Jumper joins the link’s channel and campaign with a hyphen and cuts it to 30 characters, as Apple documents. pt is your provider token, set once per account. The redirect adds mt=8 as Apple’s own campaign links do. Inside Instagram and TikTok, where Jumper shows a one-tap page, the button carries the same tokens.

On Android, Google Play hands the installed app the referrer from the link. Apple has no equivalent: nothing from the App Store address reaches your app. That is a platform rule, not something any link tool can change without an SDK that guesses. So on iOS, read campaigns in App Store Connect, and compare them with the taps per link in Jumper. Apple only shows campaign numbers once enough users agreed to share data, so small campaigns can stay hidden.
iPhone, iPad and Mac
Jumper sends iPads to the iPad destination if you set one, otherwise to the iPhone listing. iPadOS Safari says it is a Mac, so Jumper uses the touch screen to tell them apart. Apple often sells one listing for iPhone and Mac; then Mac visitors can get the Mac App Store from the same id.
Privacy policy, terms and support pages
Both stores ask for a privacy policy link before they accept your app, and Apple also asks for a support link. With Jumper.to you write or paste each page as plain text (or upload a .md file) and get an address like oxi.cc/<your link>/privacy-policy. Pages are text only: headings, lists, tables and links, no images or scripts. Each page uses one credit, like a link. App Store Connect asks for both a privacy policy URL and a support URL: Jumper gives you both.
What Jumper.to does not do
It does not open your app when it is already installed (that needs Universal Links and App Links on your own domain), it has no deferred deep links, and it does not follow people inside your app. It is a link and its numbers, not an attribution platform.
Make the link for your iOS app
Paste your App Store or Google Play link. 3 free credits: each link or page uses one. Nothing to install in your app.

Questions
Why does my iOS app not get a referrer like Android apps do?
Apple does not pass anything from the App Store link to the installed app. Campaign results live in App Store Connect, under Analytics, filtered by campaign.
Where do I find my provider token (pt)?
In App Store Connect, open Analytics, choose Campaigns and create a campaign link: the pt number is in it. Paste it once in your Jumper settings.
Do I need to add an SDK to my iOS app?
No. Jumper.to works on the link only. Nothing ships inside your app, and there is no new release to make. Reading the Google Play referrer is optional and uses Google’s own library.
Why give an iPhone-only app a link that handles Android?
Because people share links with friends on any phone. Android visitors land on your website or a page for your app instead of an error, and you can add a Google Play listing later without changing the link.
What does it cost?
3 free credits: each link or page uses one. Free credits renew every year. After that: $2 a credit a year, 10 credits for $10, 100 credits for $20. Taps are unlimited and there are no ads.
Will the link open my app if it is already installed?
No. A Jumper link always goes to the store, which shows an “Open” button when the app is installed. Opening a screen in your app needs Universal Links and App Links on your own domain.
