# One link for the App Store and Google Play

Last updated 1 November 2026

Paste your App Store and Google Play links into Jumper.to and you get one short link and one QR code. iPhones go to the App Store, Android phones to Google Play, and everyone else to your website. It comes with 3 free credits (each link or page uses one), needs no SDK and works inside Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

## How to make the link

1. **Copy both store links.** Use the Share button in the App Store and in Google Play. One store is enough to begin with.
2. **Paste them on the create screen.** Jumper reads the app’s name and icon from the listings. No account is needed until you save.
3. **Save with your email address.** Confirm the six-digit code we send. Your link is live at once.
4. **Share the link and the QR code.** Use it in your bio, ads, emails and print. You can change the destinations later; the link and the printed QR code stay the same.

## What happens when someone taps the link

The link looks at the device that taps it and sends it on in a split second. Nobody sees a page in between, and there is no ad or waiting screen.

### Where each device goes

You set the stores once. Everything else is automatic.

| Who taps | Where they go |
| --- | --- |
| iPhone and iPad | Your app in the App Store |
| Android phone | Your app in Google Play |
| Samsung or Huawei phone | The Galaxy Store or AppGallery, if you added them; otherwise Google Play |
| Computer | Your website, or a landing page for your app with a QR code |
| Inside Instagram or TikTok | A one-tap page that opens the store, because those apps often block store links |

The full rules, including what an iPad gets, are on the routing page.

## One link per channel, if you want to know what works

One link is enough to begin with. When you start sharing your app in several places, make one link for each: one for your YouTube videos, one for your TikTok bio, one for a poster. They all go to the same app. Each is its own short address on oxi.cc, and each tells the App Store and Google Play where the visitor came from.

Then App Store Connect counts downloads per channel, and Google Play passes the channel to your analytics. Jumper shows the taps for each link the same day. You see which place brings people, without adding anything to your app.

## Doing it yourself with HTML and JavaScript

If you only need the basics and have your own website, a small page can do the redirect. Whoever runs your site puts one page on it, for example at /app, with your two store addresses. The page checks the phone and forwards iPhones to the App Store and Android phones to Google Play. Computers stay on the page and see both buttons.

It works in Safari and Chrome, and it is a fair choice for a single link you never need to measure. Know what it does not do:

- Inside Instagram and TikTok on iPhone, the App Store often does not open from a redirect like this: people see a blank page or nothing.
- Android phones from Samsung and Huawei go to Google Play, even when your app is only in the Galaxy Store or AppGallery.
- It cannot tell you which channel brought an install, unless you add campaign tags by hand to each store address and keep a copy of the page per channel.
- Changing a store address means editing and uploading the page again.
- It counts nothing: you see no taps per day, country or phone.

## Questions

### Can one link open the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android?

Yes. A Jumper link looks at the device that taps it and answers with a redirect to the right store: the App Store for iPhone and iPad, Google Play for Android, and your website for everyone else.

### Do I need to change anything in my app?

No. Jumper works on the link only. There is nothing to install in your app and no new app version to release.

### Does the link work inside Instagram, TikTok and Facebook?

Yes. Those apps open links in their own browsers, which often cannot open the App Store. Jumper detects them and takes a route that works. See the in-app browser documentation for the details per app.

### What does it cost?

3 free credits: each link or page uses one. Free credits renew every year. After that: $2 a credit a year, 10 credits for $10, 100 credits for $20. Redirects are unlimited and there are no ads.

### Can I build this myself with a bit of JavaScript?

Yes, for the basic case: a page that looks at the phone and forwards to the right store. It breaks inside Instagram and TikTok on iPhone, sends Samsung and Huawei phones to Google Play, and counts nothing. The code and its limits are on this page.
